about

This track originally dates back to October 2002. Most of it was re-recorded, so the only remaining recordings of the original beat on this final version would be one of the synth tracks, and then of course the chorus vocals by Megan and Buttnz which were added in May 2003.

After not making the cut for the 2006 debut album "Smacked By Popular Demand" the song was shelved for a while. Buttnz left the group (for the 2nd time) in 2015 and while revisiting this song again his verse was replaced by one of GQ's best verses, while Mossberg and King Dyl re-recorded theirs to match the new sound. Once again, the beat was revamped in early 2023 for what you hear now. The OG chorus recordings still give me goosebumps. (Fun fact: You can hear a short background clip of the instrumental during a skit off King Dylan's "Die Tomorrow" album.)
