This is the last remix that was made for the Reboot Wars project. It's a bit convoluted, but it is actually a rework of the ORIGINAL version of the song "Love is the Real Pain" from the GQ and King Dylan album - the version you hear on the Afterlife album was actually a remix, although it's not labeled as such. The "original" was released on a "I Heart Alberta Rap" compilation in 2007 but without Buttnz verse (because at that point he quit the group so we scrapped it) and on top of that is still quite different than this version you hear now, as the only similarity is the sample that was used and it's not even used in the same way. So this is the official DOOMSDAY CARTEL Remix of this song as it's the only song that actually features ALL 5 members each kicking full 16-bar verses. Big facts, boyeeeee.

We wrote this song out of frustration after a string of shitty shows we tried to organize or be a part of, but felt like we were constantly getting the short end of the stick, being forced to play along with amateur hour from the local rap scene. How hard is it to show up on time for a show you're playing at? How hard is it to show decency for your fellow performers? Pretty fucking hard apparently. Love for the art is the true struggle. Love is the real pain.
