about

Hot off the heels of GQ and King Dylan's "Afterlife" album in 2006, we were flying high after a string of semi-successful shows with the stars in our eyes, so subsequently the vibes sparked the original track that was produced by King Dylan. After Dylan wrote his verse, GQ came over to sing the hook and record his verse. The song felt complete with just the two of us, so it eventually ended up on The D.C. Show's "Bizarremageddon" album in 2008 after GQ officially joined the group, along with Smixx. It was also the Groomsmen's entrance music at MC Mossberg's wedding.

THIS new version by Septembryo captures that original energy in a new, yet refreshingly-retro way. So we were all jamming out to it when we first heard it. This was another winner of the remix contest, which was a "blind" listen, but I kinda had a feeling this was Septembryo's although I didn't want to say anything as to not sway the other votes.

Fun fact, we shot a mega-low-budget music video for this on top of houses when we were contract roofers. It's literally just handheld camera footage thrown together with the music backdrop, but it was all we could afford at the time. It still exists as a private video on my youtube for some reason... No, you can't watch it
