about

Another song from the yester-years, this track began in 2002 with the basic instrumental - a sample and a drum beat. King Dylan and Mossberg wrote some hard rhymes to it and while we were re-recording the demo about a year later, Buttnz showed up and wrote this epic verse for it, showing us just how easy it was for him, and thusly, making us feel bad.

The song was never released though, as we never had a chorus/hook, or any build in the instrumental, just some corny sound effects of an audience cheering and one of our homies acting as an "announcer". This is probably the deepest dive of any of the unreleased tracks, since Buttnz had no idea he was on it when we re-listened to it this year. Haha.

The vocals are the same recordings from 2003 (About the time when I started to properly save and label my vocal files separately) But unfortunately in 2002 I was in the bad habit of scrapping the source instrumental files after I did a final beat mixdown, all so I could save space on my 2GB HARD DRIVE COMPUTER. So in 2023 with 20+ years of songwriting experience under my belt I was able to recreate the original beat from scratch, but add new flair. And with this new flair, a Hook was born! Now, I love it.

Pretty fun track if you ask me.
